Vince McMahon Hip Replacement Surgery

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon hip replacement surgery went well, and “Vinnie Mac” is recuperating with family.
For those of you unfamilar with situation, the TV angle surrounds the return of WWE superstar Brock Lesnar, who went berserk and F-5′d Vince as he was about to fire Paul Heyman. Lesnar, a “Paul Heyman” guy returns at turbulent time in the WWE, and has prominently inserted himself into the Wrestlemania picture. With the WWE Heavyweight Title currently featuring a 3 way triangle with John Cena, CM Punk, and The Rock, Lesnar’s return (which is huge, make no mistake about it) feels like he may end up being the next up to challenge the Undertaker’s undefeated streak. Could Lesnar be the one to retire the “Deadman”?

Brodus Clay – Wrestling Joke or the Future of the WWE?

What would you get if you crossed “The Godfather” with “King Kong” Bundy? From the looks of it, a whole lot of Brodus Clay. The “funkasaurus” debuted last week on Monday Night Raw to more than a few wide eyes. Pity Curt Hawkins, as he got mopped by the big man in what can only be described as dance practice. Somebody call his momma!
Digging the dancers, btw! Do your thing, big man!

R.I.P Macho Man

Professional wrestling lost one of the greatest superstars of the “rock n’ wrestling” era with death of Randy “Macho Man” Savage on Friday,May 20th. Savage allegedly suffered a heart attack while behind the wheel in Florida. He was 58 years old.
The “Macho One” was one of the headliner’s for Vince McMahon’s World Wrestling Federation during its heyday in the 1980′s. Savage’s storylines with real life wife “Miss Elizabeth” delivered some of the most memorable sports entertainment moments of the era. They were the pro wrestling equivalent of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, with fans eating up every twist and turn of their relationship.
Savage was long rumored to have a real-life “beef” while in WWF. It could have been of a competitive nature, with both men wanting to be the top dog in the promotion, or of a more personal nature (Miss Elizabeth). Either way, Savage followed Hogan to Ted Turner’s WCW in the 1990′s, where he completed his professional career after a successful run.
While a full cause of death has not yet been released as of this writing, it is likely that Savage’s use of performance enhancing steroids while wrestling may have had a hand in his heart condition. Still, that is a debate for another time. For now, point your finger to the sky, move it in a half circle and give the Macho Man one last “Diggit, brother. Ooooooooooooooooooo yeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaah”
