Hansel and Gretel:Witch Hunters hits theaters this Friday and looks to pack some serious firepower. Starring Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton as adult versions of Hansel and Gretel, the story takes viewers down the road of “what would have happened” to the fairy tale characters once they grew up. Stylistically similar to 2004′s Van Helsing, this horror flick also stars Famke Jensen as the powerful witch Muriel. That’s one bad witch!
After watching the Mama official trailer online, I am convinced that this movie will scare the begeezus out of anyone. To be fair, the Repoman is no fan of horror flicks. Hell, it took me 3 years to watch the first season of The Walking Dead. Still, these dirty little kids somehow survived in the wild, only to be “miraculously found” by this married couple/good samaritans who should have known better. Feed and bathe the nasty little buggers, try to give them a home, and what do you get? A visit from some crazy demon/Courtney Love looking thing that is sure to eat somebody.
Note to self: find raggedy kids in the forest? Leave ‘em there.

The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre hit theaters waaaaaaaay back in 1974, and it seems like good ol’ Leatherface has managed to make at least one appearance every decade since. The latest incarnation, Texas Chainsaw 3D, hitting theaters this week, reintroduces this classic to a whole new generation using the latest film techniques.
I think that the classics should be embraced, so I am holding out hope that this latest iteration does the original justice. If, however, the new version strays too far, or takes liberties with the materials, it could relegate it to permanent b-list status. I know, I know, it’s a slasher flick. How do you mess that up? Anyone see Jason X? Exactly.

Check out the latest trailer for the upcoming Adam Sandler/Andy Samberg comedy That’s My Boy. I think Sandler flicks get a bad rap (sue me) and I am actually looking forward to this flick.
Agent’s J & K are back fighting the good intergalactic fight. This time around, K has to travel through time to save a young J. If he fails, the balance of the world is at stake. Check out the official trailer for the new movie, launching Memorial Day, 2012.
“In a world full of darkness and despair…” might be a fitting intro to the upcoming film, The Raven, about Edgar Allan Poe. Starring John Cusack, the intro “In a world where no one cares…” might also apply. Check out the trailer and decide for yourself.
All you “Lord of the Rings” fans (even if you don’t admit to being one) can now officially rejoice as the first official trailer video for Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit” has hit the internet. Bilbo, Gollum, and Gandalf the Grey are all back in this all new re-telling of the classic book.
The Good? This movie looks awesome, with many of your favorite characters playing major roles.
The bad? This movie is still at least a year away, and after so many starts and stops, we will have to see it to believe it.
The Ugly? There appear to be a bunch of dwarves and various little people as the heroes in this one. Not one for the ladies.
