Hi! Im Danielle Moinet, former women football league All-Star! Every Thursday I’ll pick 5 NFL games that I think are sold locks to win. Heres week 1!

Game 1
The Packers over the Saints
Im picking the Packers to go back-to-back this year. They’re loaded and ready to go. It’s going to be a fun game to watch, but the Pack will pull this one out late.

Game 2
The Chargers over the Vikings
Philip Rivers has way to many weapons. Plus the Chargers always start out strong. The Vikings, well they’ve seen better days. McNabb has no one to throw the ball to so dont expect much scoring from them against good defenses like the Chargers.

NFC 2011/2012 Predictions

Are you ready for some football?  The NFL season kicks off in less than 48 hours and the Repoman is ready for all of the bone crunching hits, dazzling runs, 40 yard bombs, heartbreaking missed kicks & drama that only the giants of the gridiron can deliver.  Though many thought it might not happen, the 2011-2012 season is about to get underway. There are storylines aplenty this season.  Can the Aaron Rodgers led Packers defend their NFC (and Super Bowl) Championship from hungry contenders including the Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints,  & Chicago Bears?  Will Jay Cutler survive the season?  Is Eli Manning really as good as he thinks he is? Mike Vick: Legit or one year wonder? Can the Dallas Cowboys bounce back to contend in the East?  Will a much improved Detroit Lions team finally put it together?

Without further ado, we give you our predicted division and wild card winners for the NFC this coming season!

NFC North

Green Bay Packers 13-3 :  The champs are back and might be better than last year.  Aaron Rodgers finally has a full complement of weapons at hand to terrorize the NFC North defenses.  While Rodgers is one big hit away from derailing this train, we’re sure the offensive line has been told to punch, kick, or tackle any defensive player within 5 yards Green Bay Golden Boy.

NFC South

Atlanta Falcons 13-3 :  The “Dirty Birds” are ready to fly in the South!  Clearly the class of the division, the Falcons are sporting an upgraded air attack showcasing Roddy White and newcomer Julio Jones (our pick for R.O.Y),a dominant run game behind Michael “The Burner” Turner, and an improved Matt Ryan.  Atlanta is now one of this season’s elite teams.

NFC East

Philadelphia Eagles 10-6 :  The NFC East is a minefield covered in nerve gas.  Teams don’t win this division; they survive it.  In the end, the overwhelming athleticism and virtuoso playmaking of Mike Vick will make the difference as the Eagles edge out the Giants and Cowboys for the division crown.

NFC West

St. Louis Rams 9-7 : We know, their the Rams and if the last few years have taught us anything, it is that they stink. This team looks to be on the brink of turnaround, however, and finally has found a QB to lead them after Sam Bradford’s impressive rookie season. Steven Jackson is back to tease with his potential(and disappoint with his frequent trips to the DL) and the retooled WR corps provide the St. Louis with additional aerial weapons. Throw in a defense that is hungry to make a name for itself, and the Rams could be the class of the “Division No One Wants to Win” also known as the NFC West.

Wild Card Teams

Chicago Bears 10-6 : Jay Cutler showed up to camp in the best shape anyone can remember, eager to shed the “soft” label placed on him by pretty much the entire world in last seasons NFC Championship loss to the Packers. A revamped offensive line, adding 1st Round pick RT Gabe Carimi and an infusion of youth, cannot help but be better. Throw in a RB Matt Forte in a contract push, an improved receiver corps, one of the best defensive lines in the game, and the “Monsters of the Midway” should outperform expectations this season. If Roy Williams remembers to soak his hands in Palmolive before game day, watch out!

New Orleans Saints 10-6 : There is an offensive juggernaut brewing down on the Bayou. All-world QB Drew Brees is back and looking to bounce back from a disappointing season. Reggie Bush is long gone(taking his talents to Miami) but the Saints reloaded with Heisman winner Mark Ingram in the draft. If the defense is better than average, the Saints may be even better than we predict.

Check back tomorrow as we cover the AFC division and wild card winners.
