8 Points??? Greatest Ever = Advantage Jordan

One good playoff series does not make one the greatest of all time. Having the nickname “King” does not give one who has not earned the right to tread on hallowed ground. Lebron James proved once again in Game 4 of the 2011 NBA Finals that he, while great, will never be the greatest. 8 points in a must win will have that effect on a legacy.
I will say it again. Lebron James is a great player. There is no denying this fact. The real question facing fans, most of whom are not too far from having witnessed Michael Jordan’s greatness, is what has this man done to warrant such comparisons?
Let’s see…multiple playoff appearances…second trip to NBA finals…regular season MVP award…all good. No championships, disheartening playoff exits, labeled as a “guy who shrinks in big moments”, embarassing “Decision” ESPN special where he abandoned his hometown team…not so good.
Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to the modern day Dominique Wilkins, Lebron James!
Greatest of all time? Think about it…
