This made the rounds a little while back, but if you haven’t seen it yet then its totally worth watching after the jump. Bob Costas got name checked in a Ludacris song from a few years ago, and liked it so much he shared it with some of his MLB Network colleagues.
Umpire Marty Foster called a third strike on Ben Zobrist on what should have been ball 4 with Evan Longoria on deck. Watch the video below to see the worst call of the young MLB season.
The dudes from Funny Or Die posted these surprising former baseball team names that I had to post for you to see.
Sandy Koufax, one of if not the greatest left-handed pitchers of all time was brought in to relive Magic Johnson to throw out the first pitch of the 2013 season for the Dodgers. Check out the video below.
I think its time to rebuild the New York Yankees the same way they built that mall they call The New Yankees Stadium. Take a good look at the opening day lineup (baring more injuries).
1. Ichiro Suzuki – RF
2. Derek Jeter – SS
3. Robinson Cano – 2B
4. Kevin Youkilis – 3B
5. Travis Hafner – DH
6. Juan Rivera – LF
7. Dan Johnson – 1B
8. Brett Gardner – CF
9. Chris Steward – C
Being born in New Jersey I grew up a Yankees fan and going to The Stadium growing up I thought it was the greatest place ever to watch a baseball game. But as I got older I began to realize how much of a dump the old Yankees Stadium was. Thank God they have a new stadium.
When I moved to Chicago even as an adult I remember being so excited about going to see historic Wrigley Field. I’d go to 2 or 3 games a year just so I could say that “I was at Wrigley.” But just like the old Yankee Stadium I started to realize that Wrigley Field was a dump. I would hold my pee for hours before ever using the bathroom at Wrigley. They dont have stalls, they have horse troths.
Now they’re finally renovating the old dump instead of building a new stadium like every other franchise. Except for the Red Sox of course.
Here are some of the proposed renovations for Wrigley Field.
