Air Jordan vs King James; G.O.A.T?

“Scottie Pippen must have lost his mind.”

That’s the only logical explanation the Repoman could fathom for Pippen’s recent declaration that Lebron James is the best player of all time. On the ESPN Radio Show Mike and Mike, Pippen shared the following:

“Michael Jordan is probably the greatest scorer to ever play the game. I may go so far as saying LeBron James may be the greatest player to ever play the game. Because he is so potent offensively that not only can he score at will but he keeps everybody involved. You have to be on your P’s and Q’s on defense. No guy on the basketball court is a threat to score with LeBron James out there. Not only will LeBron dominate from the offensive end as well, but he’s also doing it on the defensive end, which really makes him the complete package. He’s able to get in those passing lanes, shoot those gaps and create transition opportunities where he is pretty much unstoppable.”

Pass that sh%#, Scottie! Don’t bogart it!

I cannot understand how you had a front row seat to every great moment in MJ’s career and have the nerve to take a show at his legacy. Look, I’m not blind. Lebron James is a great player, and arguably will end up as the best of his era, but he is no MJ. No rings. No signature moments. And, unfortunately for his PR people, it appears that he has no class(“take my talents, please”). The kid has a long way to go.

MJ – 6
LBJ – pinkie

Verdict?

Air Jordan all day. Let’s keep the comparison talk to a minimum until we can really compare the careers side by side. For now, however, the label “Greatest of all time” rests square on the shoulders of one Michael Jeffrey Jordan.
