It’s a bird, it’s plane, its…the iPhone 4s (???)
Anyone who has ever spent anytime in the Tech section on this blog knows that the Repoman is definitely not an Apple fanboy. My previous posts will tell you that, although I respect the technology behind the product, I despise the regular high priced updates that Apple pushes off on their loyal followers.
It would appear that Apple is at it once again with their soon to be released iPhone 4s. That’s right, Apple fanboys, no iPhone 5 for you! At least not until Steve Jobs the Merciful and the rest of the divine design team deem the world worthy.
According to BusinessInsider.com, “Apple’s next iPhone will be called the iPhone 4S, not the iPhone 5, according to “industry checks” by Jefferies analyst Peter Misek. Misek put out a note on the next iPhone today, and said, it will “include minor cosmetic changes, better cameras, A5 dual-core processor, and HSPA+ support.”
They continue, “Apple wanted to add a chipset to support high speed 4G wireless networks, but the chipsets weren’t going to be ready in time. Because the 4G chips weren’t ready, Apple is going with the minor update to the iPhone 4.
Misek also revealed the next version of the phone will work with Sprint, T-Mobile, and China Mobile.”
You know what that means, right? An iPhone 4GS is probably right around the corner. Sprint, T-Mobile, welcome to the hustle. Put your hands up! It’s a stick up!
New iPhone 4 Released…
Apple fanboys (and girls) of the world can once again rejoice! Apple has officially released a must have upgrade that is sure to upgrade your smartphone experience. The iPhone 4 , now with more…ummmmm…..well…I mean……………er….it’s WHITE!

Look, the Repoman appreciates a fine piece of technology, but Apple is taking all of these “new releases” too far. Can someone please tell me what was wrong with the iPhone 3? People paid up to $600 for that technological marvel (no sarcasm here) only to have to drop hundreds more a few short years later to pony up for the “must have” iPhone 3Gs. 3G speeds…dare to dream.
iPhone 3Gs units flew off the shelves and Apple quickly came out with their next “gotta have it”…the iPhone4. Why not just launch a white version then, you ask? According to CNN.com, “The white model was supposed to ship alongside the black one at the iPhone 4′s launch last June. But design and manufacturing complications delayed the process by 10 months, catching Apple off guard, executives say.
As CNN reported last month, earlier test models of the white iPhone 4 produced blurry photos, especially when the flash was used. Its whiteness confused the proximity sensor, which detects when the phone is held next to someone’s head and turns off the touchscreen to preserve battery life and prevent apps from being opened accidentally.
These issues weren’t present in older iPhones that came in white because they didn’t have flash photography; the proximity sensor was unaffected because the front side of previous models was black. The iPad 2 also lacks a flash, and few people attempt to hold a tablet up to their heads.”
Funny that they mention the iPad2,,,didn’t Apple just launch the original iPad less than 2 years ago?
iPods seem to be redesigned every other month.
Macs are traditionally less powerful, and more expensive (up to 3x), than most comparable PCs.
Yet people come in droves, tossing their hard earned dollars as Apple proceeds to make sweet sweet love to their bottoms(lines, that is)…no vaseline
I thought we were in a recession?
No worries, I’m sure Apple will proceed to release an iPhone with a shiny blue case soon to much fanfare…
