Fantasy M.A.S.H Unit – Darrelle Revis

Sad news for Darrelle Revis,Jets fans, and for fans of defensive play in general, today. Arguably the best cover corner the NFL has seen in the last decade is done for the season with a torn ACL. “Revis Island”, it appears, is closed for renovations.
ESPN reported earlier,”A Monday morning MRI exam confirmed the Jets’ worst fears, leaving their struggling defense without its best player. Revis will wait two to three weeks before having the surgery, the team said. The usual recovery time for ACL surgery is six to nine months.”
This is a big blow for the small percentage of fantasy players that actually draft individual defensive players. On the larger scale, however, the Jets DST unit takes a bit of a hit. Fortunately, the Jets have other notable corners in house to pick up the slack, but losing a player the caliber of Revis is a tough deficit to make up.
