Repos 2012 Fantasy Picks – Top 5 Tight Ends

#5 – Aaron Hernandez
Aaron is #2 in the depth chart on the Patriots tight end position, yet he’s #5 on this list. Reason being is because he’s always on the field making catches, making linebackers and safties miss tackles. Heres an interesting tidbit: Towards the end of the 2012 season, Belicheck used him as a running back and he looked effective. So if Belicheck decides to use him at running back again, you’ll earn rushing points as well.
#4 – Fred Davis
Here is a guy who a lot of defenses and fantasy owners slept on last year. In 2011 he caught 59 passes for over 700 yards and that was with Rex Grossman who is terrible. A tight end is a rookie quarter backs best friend (Robert Griffin III). And that rookie QB is about 100% ready to step in and be the future for the Skins.
#3 – Antonio Gates
Yes, he’s getting old. Yes, he seems to be injured a lot lately. Yes, he is the only target Phillip Rivers will have to throw to this year. Gates has always been Mr. Reliable when healthy, and if he is healthy look fr another solid campaign from Gates.
#2 – Jimmy Graham
He’s the closest thing to the #1 tight end in the league, yet he’s so far. But dont get me wrong, Jimmy Graham is still going to have a monster year as long as that Saints offense is clicking on cylinders like we know it can. Graham is definitely worth taking in the second round.
#1 – Rob Gronkowski
The best tight end we’ve seen since… no one because we have never seen a tight end that was as dominate as The Incredible Gronk. He’s an animal. He’s a beast. The guy has sex with porn stars and makes them rethink their philosophy about life. He goes on dating game shows and dominates there too. We might not ever see a better TE1 that this guy. Draft him late in the first round. You will not regret taking a TE that early.
